Cranswick supports Farm Africa’s Climate-smart Agriculture Project in Tanzania

We’re passionate about farming as a force for good. That’s why we’re proud to support Farm Africa and shine a spotlight on their valuable work.

Farm Africa’s Climate-Smart Agriculture project helps farmers in eastern Africa to increase their productivity and build resilience to the impact of extreme weather.

The project has trained smallholders in the dry region of Dodoma, Tanzania to adopt more sustainable and productive farming techniques while developing vital business skills. This means more nutritious food on the table and a reliable income all year round.

Lucy has been working with Farm Africa for over two years and has increased her income by more than 30%:

“The most valuable thing I’ve learnt from Farm Africa is keeping records and using the organic matter from our farm animals as fertilisers. My production has increased and my income too. Before the training, I could not afford to meet my everyday needs, such as sending the children to school or changing meals. Now, I will send my children to school. Then, I will build a good house.”
